How to make prettyphoto initialize with a certain image category (data ID) instead of "All"

I have a template that came with prettyphoto. My website isn't live yet. When I preview the page, the prettyPhoto gallery shows the following menu: "All" "Birds" "People" "Nature". I don't want it to show "All" the images. When you click on "Birds", it shows only the images with data-id birds. I only want to see one of the subcategories, like "Birds", for example. How can I change the way the gallery initializes so I don't see all the images on the initial page load?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
