I'd like to make some slight modifications to one of the themes - basically making changes to the image files to alter the look of the buttons, remove text from buttons, etc.

Any guidelines for this? It looks like the list of themes is pretty much hard-coded, I'd rather not keep tracking local changes, but I don't see a nice "clean" way to alter a theme and keep PP up to date.
