Video's are preloading -- not good!

On a gallerypage I have prettyphoto running to lightbox larger images, however, it goes into gallerymode (and thus the next and precious buttons are shown), which is OK. What's NOT OK is that eventhough the next item in the gallery is an image, it will load the video attached to that image.

In WordPress I have a post with images linked to videos. In The images are shown in gallery, but activitymonitor also show the video's being loaded, which is obviously not good because they are not goign to be played in the current gallery...

Click on an image and open activitymonitor, you'll see some vids loading in the background...
Anyhting I can do to prevent the preloading? I would like to see the videos to be loaden when clicked upon as some vids aer over 20MB in size.
