Showing other layers above the PrettyPhoto's darkened background

I have a DIV that should appear above the black background layer produced by prettywindow (the
z-value is higher) however it does not appear above the black background in IE. Other browsers are fine:
This text is below Pretty window's blacked out background in Safari, Chrome, Firefox, but not IE.
Is there a trick to make this DIV appear above the black background after the prettyphoto is fired up?
