pretty photo with google maps

How do i use pretty photo along with google maps? I can make a popup with a link rel="prettyPhoto" appear in google maps, but pretty photo does not work when i click the link within the popup created by google maps.
Basically, a Google map has objects that show up on the page as the user clicks on them, and then the links within the object do not obey prettyPhoto and open in the prettyPhoto window. how do i force those links to open in a prettyPhoto window?
