I can't get the effect to work, the link seems to work fine but just opens in a new page. I'm in no means a programmer but do understand some basics. If anyone can help me it would be much appreciated.

After reading through all the posts in the forum it seems like everyone with this problem has not gotten answers from anyone. I thought this was a help forum. I have all the support files where they should be and I have added the scripts where the documentation has said to. All I'm asking for is a little help.
