Persistent links within galleries that lead to items within the same gallery
  • I've attempted to do it this way:

Copy that doesn't really matter, but whatever, here it is and you're reading it.
    Sounds Great! Sign me up!

Unfortunately, the persistent links to #signUp result in nothing happening at all. is there a way to do what I'm trying to do, or am I hooped? I feel like I'm so close.

Thanks for any help, it would be really appreciated.

  • Steve ...
I'm not sure I understand what you're doing.

I figured out a way to put a link on each pop-up photo:
    See this example ...
    http://www.herndonheald.com/prettyphoto.php

Is what I'm doing at all similar?
  • Thanks for getting back to me mlseim. I'm not sure how to explain what I need, but unfortunately it's not what you linked to.

What I'm aiming for with my code is to make it so in each item the gallery loads, a 'signup' button will be at the bottom which, when clicked, will load the inline sign-up form in the gallery. Ideally prettyphoto would simply resize to fit the sign-up form so the process of getting there would be pretty much seamless.

So, objective: Place an inline sign-up form in prettyphoto, and make it so it can be loaded from anywhere, even within prettyphoto (without closing and reopening prettyphoto). As it is, clicking the links within prettyphoto causes nothing to happen which is why I'm stumped. The next and previous buttons work, and will eventually lead me to the sign-up form which loads fine, but I can't simply trigger that item in the gallery to appear without navigating to it using the next/previous buttons.

    Does that make sense?
  • This one, like some of the other posts ...
would require almost a complete rewrite.

With enough coding, I think anything could be accomplished.
I just don't know if the original author will be doing that much.
  • Ahhh that's a huge shame. Thanks for confirming that!
