Photo aspect ratio

I have two galleries on one page. One works 100% fine, the other, when it launches the first image's aspect ratio is out of proportion. When you click the next button the second photo is fine. Can anyone help with this?

UPDATE
It appears that the problem with the one gallery is not limited to just the first photo. I have 35 total pictures in the gallery and it looks like Pretty Photo is having trouble resizing them (eventhough I made all of the photos the same dimensions. They came to me from different sources but I sized them so they are all 640 x 440.) The other gallery on the page has 39 photos, all the same size and doesn't appear to have the same problem. -
UPDATE
It would appear that the problem is IE8 related (figures!)...The gallery that I'm having trouble with works fine in FireFox. Any solutions? My company uses IE exclusively and I have no choice.
