Multiple galleries on page - settings only work for one, the rest revert to default

Here's the problem: I have multiple galleries on my page, but only one is visible at a time (using JQuery so that the user clicks a link and a gallery shows. Clicking a different link closes that gallery and opens another one).
However, the prettyPhoto settings only work for the first gallery, the rest just act like the default theme and all the default options are chosen.
Is there an easy fix for this? -
