Opening prettyphoto url from an iframe in the latest version

I know this has been discussed, but all of the answers seem to pertain to lines of js that are no longer in the newest version.
How can this be done?

I guess I should give more info:
I am wanting to develop a picasa tpl that is ready for prettyphoto. The gallery could then be placed within a page as an iframe. The only issue I am having is trying to get prettyphoto to open the links in the parent window and not inside the iframe.
