Can't install prettyPhoto

I am trying to install prettyPhoto on a Joomla site but keep getting an error message:
Error! Could not find an XML setup file in the package. Can someone please help me.

if you want to use prettyPhoto display engine in Joomla! the easiest way is to search for an Joomla! extension. You can not just install prettyPhoto in Joomla!. Try pPGallery (a Joomla! plugin) for example.
