.swf pre-loader doesn't work with prettyPhoto

Hi,
I have a Flash game in a pf window, this works fine. However, when I try to pre-load the game via the standard method of the pre-loader loading in the game .swf it doesn't work - the load complete event doesn't fire, as far as I can see.
Anyone know why this is happening?
