The YouTube audio keeps playing even after the lightbox window is closed in IE9/IE8

Play the Youtube content provided at http://www.no-margin-for-errors.com/projects/prettyphoto-jquery-lightbox-clone/ in IE9/IE8.
Close the lightbox window while the video is playing.
The video will disappear but you will still hear the sound. You have to close the browser to stop the sound.

Works in other browsers like Chrome.

Customizing the scrub bar.

I need a solution to the height issue prettyPhoto has. I have videos that my client has uploaded that are different sizes. However, prettyPhoto does not automatically adjust to the size of the video. Some are much larger than others, some are much smaller than the norm. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

thumbnail limit?

Hi, i noticed when i have large gallery, the thumbnails wont appear on the slideshow. they will show up if i remove a bunch of them.

it cycles through all the images, but does not show the small thumbs. any way to change this?

prettyPhoto doesn't work for IE 7 or IE8 on this site:

It works in IE9, Chrome and Firefox. I tried removing some other plugins with no improvements...

Gallery starting when page loads

Hello! For some reason, my gallery starts immediately when the page loads (I haven't done anything fancy with the code). I want the page to load and then the user to click on a thumbnail to launch the gallery. Why is this happening?

Hello.
I've implemented the script correctly as far as I know.
Just clicking on one photo opens the pop-up window without any problem, but as soon as I try to create a gallery (I've used the code on the demo page here, so as soon as I add the [pp_gal] shortcode it opens in a new window!).

I'd really appreciate any kind of help!
I just used the simple script code without any modifications other than the "theme" one. I donwloaded the compressed version - if that matters.

Please let me know what other information you need in order to help me.

several galleries in one page are shown as only one

Hello! I am creating a page with several galleries, my problem is that the first gallery, when I click on the thumbnail, shows the right number of images - which is correct, but the next galeries when I click the thumbnail shows all the next images, even though are part of another gallery.

Multiple API Galleries

I have multiple galleries that I'm trying to display in prettyPhoto. My original idea was to load external HTML pages using the AJAX function of prettyPhoto. I've downloaded both the compressed and uncompressed versions of prettyPhoto and I can't seem to get the AJAX calls to work for either version. So on to plan B:

What I would like to do is have one page with a series of thumbnails where each thumbnail links to a different gallery. There are 8 galleries total. I know how to use the API to specify one gallery, but is there a way to create multiple api-arrays for each seperate gallery?

i.e. -


api_images1 = ['images/fullscreen/image1.jpg','images/fullscreen/image2.jpg','images/fullscreen/image3.jpg'];

api_images2 = ['images/fullscreen/image1.jpg','images/fullscreen/image2.jpg','images/fullscreen/image3.jpg'];

Not working in IE8

First of all, thanks for all this nice work and to share it.
My main problem concerns prettyphoto which is not working on IE8.
I'm using the files from the last zip (version 3.12) with no personal code modification.
It's working fine in FF, Chrome, Safari... With IE8, when we click (for example) on the first image of gallery2 (still from the demo package), we are redirected to the image itself (http://localhost/pretty/images/fullscreen/3.jpg)..
WHen I look to IE own development tool, there is no error when loading the main page where there are all those differents links to be tested.
When I click on the phot like I said before, I got this on IE8 tool :

'tagName' a la valeur Null ou n'est pas un objet. pretty, Ligne 73 Caractère 4

navigate inline content as with images?

Hi, I'm using PP to create a mixed gallery of images and inline content, and I'm wondering if there's a way to modify the script to allow for navigation of inline content by clicking on the left and right halves of the window-- for "previous" and "next," respectively-- as one can with images? If there were some way to overlay the left and right arrows over the inline content to allow for such simple navigation between images and inline content, this would be ideal. With the current script functionality, one must click the small previous/next arrows at the lower left to navigate away from inline content.

Prettyphoto Gallery with External Images

Hi,
I'm trying to use externally-hosted image files in a prettyphoto gallery. The href and img statements are fine, but when you click on the image, it refreshes the window and shows just the image. Then you can click the back button, and the regular page is once again displayed, with the prettyphoto modal window correctly showing the externally-hosted image. I've thought about prefetching all of the external images and using temp files, but don't really know enough JS, or if this is even a reasonable path. Any thoughts?

Can you tell me, what kind of object this is and how i can get out information of it?

When I'd tried to use pretty photo on my web site with gallery of 70 images and found that PrettyPhoto is working in a strange case!

When user selects a photo to view PrettyPhoto starts loading all photos from the page. If user selected the last one in the gallery it could takes minutes for him to see it.

It takes about a minute to open this photo for preview because this is the last one on the page of 70 photos. So PrettyPhoto loads all 70 photos first and only then show to user the photo user wants to see.

Is it the case PrettyPhoto working?
Could you change it to make it working fast and immediately show to user the photo he chose?

I am prettyDesperate. First I was amazed about prettyPhoto, everything worked fine on local PC. Than I published the page and no matter what I do the first picture is gone! By clicking on the second picture the gallery is working fine. I downloaded here from the page 3 times now and oploaded it on one of my server. It starts even with the original file index.html from the download package from prettyPhoto. PrettyPhoto Flash Movie in Wordpress- No Controls

I have recently installed a Wordpress theme that utilizes PrettyPhoto. I have a thorough knowledge of HTML and beg-intermediate Flash. Don't really know Javascript, CSS, PHP, XML or very much action script at all. I am more of a Photoshop/Premiere Pro guy I like graphics and videos. I am trying to create a site for my wife and I showing off our home videos and photos. For the photos I was able to install Nextgen Gallery- Nextgen Flash Viewer- then add a custom tag calling the rel="lightbox" tag so I could create galleries of images using PrettyPhoto and Nextgen. Hope that helps somebody.

What I am having problem with is skinning my Flash Video with a player- I don't want to use Vimeo or Youtube- I wnat to stream directly from my site. I can get the video into pretty photo but I can't figure out what flashvars I should be adding to the end of the video to call my player skin? Anyone have any ideas?

MOV file won't play

Being that swf files are not supported through apple products I'm trying to export mov files from flash 8 to be played through prettyphoto. I'm able to get pretty photo to open in the correct dimensions but the mov file never loads. Anyone know what might be going on?

Open Popup on Form Submit

I'm embedding the Feedburner email signup form on a Wordpress blog. Currently it opens a regular popup window on the form submit, and I thought it would be nice if the popup and verification was inside of prettyPhoto.

Currently, this is in the form tag.

Does anyone have an idea of what would need to be modified to pass the information while opening the form completion in prettyPhoto?

Left side of large images not loading...

Hi, it appears that the left side of large images using PrettyPhoto don't load. I know this is a very large image, but I didn't think that would make a difference...

Click the image and then choose to maximize it in the top-right corner of the picture. As you can see, the left side of the image gets cut off. The lady in the image isn't there in the maximized image.

What in the code do I need to change to fix this?

Vertical Align Bug (IE8)

This bug causes the pop-up to appear with the top in the center of the screen. This appears to on affect IE...

In the "_center_overlay()" and "_showContent()" functions, there should be a "var" in front of the "projectedTop" lines...

The issue is that the projectedTop variable get used twice and IE thinks that the name-space is the same (not a local variable.)

Full Resolution Img Bug

First let me say that my jquery skills are limited. I'm hip with HTML5/CSS3

I am working on a site that uses @media queries (responsive design) so it will work on multiple devices (i.e. everything from an iphone to a flat screen tv). I have decently large images (1280px wide for a horizontal image). When clicking the "expand" button in smaller browser sizes (less than 1280px). The browser goes into "scroll" (x & y). I'm not so worried about the y-scroll but when you scroll the the right (x) the background overlay is cut off (the overlay ends). Is there a way to have the "expanded" image never exceed the width of the browser window and keep its aspect ratio. If there is any confusion about what I'm talking about I can post screenshots. I don't have the site live. Any help would be amazing.

Flash control skin not loading

I've got a flash video on my sight and while everything works fine locally when I try it from the server the skin attached to the file doesn't show up. If you go to:

and click on the bottom link you can see pP start and load the video but the control skin is just not there. After it enough it will start but no controls. The flash files are:

AlcVid.swf - player
SkinOverPlayStopSeekFullVol.swf - control skin
_PGC_Bpgc_entryPoint_Bbp_1.flv - vide

Can anyone see a problem?

I'm running the lastest pP non-beta release. The web site is through Yahoo.

Havign SWF Issues

I cam calling alll find correctly and have all nesseray files located on the server. I have checked to make sure that they are there and viewed the "NET" Tab on firefox to make sure tat the page is trying receiving the js files needed.

The problem seems simple and may be a stupid error on my part but I am not able to get the SWF players overlay for controls to show up on the video.

I am using a 3 file system.

1. The FLV file
2. The SWF Player
3. The SWF Player Overlay

When the window opens it displays the video just fine but the overlay controls are missing. Is there something I am missing?

How to replace "#!prettyPhoto/0/" string from URL with custom string?

Love the deeplinking ability in prettyPhoto, however our client wants to replace it with a custom string, "#!media/0/". We've managed to replace it in the string, however it doesn't seem to trigger the lightbox when we send the url to a new browser window. Does anyone know how we can restore this feature with our custom string in the URL?

prettyPhoto iframe refresh

Is there a way to disable the prettyphoto iframe from constantly refreshing the content?
(I'm not even sure if this is coming from pp itself or from somewhere else)

After the iframe opens and links to a form which submits to itself there is some results generated by the system. But the iframe refreshs at about 5 second intervals automatically reseting the form and that isn't what I need.
