Just wanted to mention that the page for the prettyphoto information does not mention it as a Wordpress plugin.

For SEO reasons I would make sure the search engines know that it is a Wordpress plugin.

I have a page that contains thumbnails, that when clicked plays a quicktime video. It is working flawlessly. However, I would like to have it close and return to the main screen once the video is done playing. Any help in achieving this would be greatly appreciated.

Totally lost trying to get a custom_markup that will load the JW Player script and open an html5 video in prettyPhoto.
I tried following the custom-markup tutorial, but I am not skilled enough in code to adapt the example to my needs.

I know I can make multiple images to gallery with API like:

api_images = ['images/fullscreen/image1.jpg','images/fullscreen/image2.jpg'];

But I need to make same thing with youtube links. It's work with only first link there and second goes to title. Anyone has same problem with multiple dynamic video content. I just wan't make dynamic video gallery from youtube/vimeo links.

Is this possible? and how I can do it?

Ajax loaded content auto height

Ok, so when loading content using ajax we need to setup fixed width and height like this : ?ajax=true&width=300&height=200. I'm ok with the width but what happens if the content i'm loading varies. Is there a way to have height:auto or something like that? Somehow detect the height of the content before it displays it.

Hi thanks for prettyphoto it has helped me a lot, but I was wondering if some1 could help. My site www.colinasdeholambra.com.br opens fine, but if you go to the "nossos cães" page and open up a photo it should open up prettyphoto. On some computers it opens fast on some not, and some even get a script error. In most cases it opens very slowly. My question is (as a novice web developer) how can i speed this up, the photos are pretty hi-res, should i reduce the quality and compress them all, is this what is slowing it down? Any help would be massively appreciated. Thanks

Issues with opening photos

I have just started using PrettyPhoto on my website, to display images and video clips. As a professional musician, being able to display media on my site is very important to me.

I have started using PrettyPhoto here - on my "Media" page and while the video loader works perfectly, the images side of things does not.

Sometimes the images load fine in the PrettyPhoto format, and all is well... But sometimes, when I click on the thumbnail, the loader spins for a long time, and then this error message appears.

I don't know much about JavaScript, so I'm not sure where the issues lie here. It doesn't happen on all the pictures, only some of them - and yet, they are all .jpg files, and I have used the same code on all of them. So, why is this happening?

Your advice would be greatly appreciated!

(Also... You will notice, if you look on my Media page, that when the images do load, they don't look quite like the example on the PrettyPhoto demo page do; the borders and "Close" buttons are different. I'm not sure why this is either - it's less of an issue than images not loading, of course, but it would be nice to fix this too, if I can. Thanks!)

I have 5 youtube videos and I want to play them in lightbox with the option to navigate to the next video, i tried using rel="prettyPhoto[mixed]" but it's not adding in nav controls? what am I doing wrong?

I am working on the development of the company's website and just installed the latest version of prettyPhoto. And that's when I discovered that there is a visual bug for me where the site menu (created in Dreamweaer -- it's a SpryAsset) which has to be in a relative position inside the header container appears ON TOP of the "greyed out" prettyPhoto.

I've gone through all my CSS and commented out my z-index in hopes of finding a culprit but that still has not fixed the issue for me.

Do you have a fix for this?

Also, just a question here but I noticed that the minute you use prettyPhoto, it appends #!prettyPhoto to your URL which it didn't do with earlier versions. Can we disable that or is it now part of the coding?

Display bug when using the APi

I’m calling PrettyPhoto with a click event on a single link (without any rel="PrettyPhoto" ) to show a photo gallery. I use the default theme.

First, I define some custom defaults:
$.fn.prettyPhoto({deeplinking:false, autoplay_slideshow:true, social_tools:false});
then
$.prettyPhoto.open(api_images,api_titles,api_descriptions);
Where the 3 params are predefined arrays.

Everything works fine, except that the right white border (or padding if you prefer) is 2 times wider than the left one.

Is this a bug or I’m doing something the wrong way?

Disable Navigation arrows on iframes

I am using prettyPhoto to bring up 2 different html items from a drop down menu. One is a bio page and one is an email form. It works fine but for some reason it creates those little back/forward arrows on the bottom of the window. Is there anyway to disable that from happening? I looked in the docs but could not find anything. Thanks.

Gallery Thumbnail Problem

Prettyphoto calling inline content help

I have the prettyphoto js working just fine, except for that it blinks the content when you move to another set. So when you navigate or the auto play moves you from inline div to another, the content loads and then the content quickly blinks. This happens on every new content set after the initial.

I found a bug in above code:

wrong: (url.indexOf('#!prettyPhoto'))?true:false;
correct: (url.indexOf('#!prettyPhoto') > 0)?true:false;

Because url.indexOf return -1 if not found, but -1 is true.

Turning off image numbers in a gallery

Hi everyone, I'm running multiple image galleries from a single page, and the total image numbers are combining. For instance in one section I have 3 images but when select the thumb and got to the gallery rather than saying 1/3 it says 1 /6 because there is a another gallery with 3 images. I'd like to fix it but in the meantime is there a way of turning of the image numbering system altogether? Thanks for your time.

Displaying webpages in reduced size via iframe

I am tring to get prettyphoto to display webpages via the iframe but in a reduced view, like scale it 50% inside the modal dialog box. Is this possible? And what would that code look like?

Displaying webpages at 100% works fine, and if I set a smaller size for the modal box in means getting scrollbars. But I am trying to get the the webpage itself that are displayed to be at say 50%. And would of course like to have the modal dialog box follow in size to neatly frame the reduced webpage.

Hello Ladies,

have small problem to realize a PrettyBox with Flash inside.
The normal version is running:

The problem is that the target is dynamically created, with a few parameters:

Thats not my choice, have to live with it.

With additionals parameters (&width=200&height=300) i do not get the right Content,
and without, the Pretty-Box does not show the Flash-Ani.

Ist there a Workaround for this?

When one clicks on the link "pictures" - I get the prettyphoto gray overlay, and the image comes up, but the web page scrolls back to the top (under the overlay) making the image I call "disappear" (a user would have to scroll down to see it).

How do I prevent my web page from scrolling back to the top when I click on this link to activity prettyphoto?

Video galleries issue

PrettyPhoto fail on jquery load file into ID div.

Pretty photo URL on page works fine. Pretty photo URL pulled in as a part of a jquery load does not (opens in new window - not boxed).

Example index.php contains...

videoslist.php contains..

Seems simple enough right?

If I place the link at the bottom (inline) on the index.php page all is fine - link will work perfect. When jquery pulls it in via load, it opens new window, not boxed.

Any insight greatly appreciated.

I have got it integrated - however when I filter using isotope to view a particular set of images, I still get the full set of images in prettyPhoto.

Hey,
PrettyPhoto is imho the best lightbox script out there but I miss one important feature. Scripts like: http://3.s3.envato.com/files/9685813/index.html use jquery easing for nice scrolling effects or expanding effects. Because of this effects the lightbox looks way more attractive to the user but on the other hand it lacks important features PrettyPhoto offers (slideshow, etc.). It would be a great update if you could implement easing effects.

i had the setup in the head section of the page of a DNN portal, but i'm not sure about where is the equal of "“ put this script before your closing tag” in a DNN environment to have the correct inizialization...

once the slideshow/photo is opened, I need to have on it a button/link that, if the visitor likes that picture, will lead the visitor to the store, instead of only the navigation buttons inside the gallery... (sorry , i know it could be simple for more of you... pls, just point me where to look...)

PrettyPhoto/Ajax External HTML with embedded Jquery Slider

I want to load a local html page that has a tinyslider2 in it. prettyPhoto loads, but the script for tinyslider hangs, displaying all the images. The external html file runs fine by itself.

Is there a way to delay PP from displaying the file until the tinyslider script has initialized? Or is there no solution??

I need to launch a the prettyphoto slideshow automatically. I have tried the following, neither of which worked.
